All things fall, in time.
Nothing so grounded as to stand
straight, tall in the light, tall in
I saw it at its height,
so above an ordinary human's
line of sight, then. . .it seemed
a cloud burst from its side, forcing
eyes to a convulsing sky
no wispy, white cumulus cloud
. . .grime of browns mixed with sharp
reds, then flashes much like lightening
tearing at the tower's skin
shards of metal, shards of flesh, shards
of souls in flight. . .down and down,
racing to a place meant only for the fallen.
All things fall, in time. And over time,
long saddened time, all things rise again.
